In almost all countries the assault rifle is usually only legally available to the military and police forces. This is because of its fully automatic function allowing around 30 rounds to be fired at the desired target in a matter of seconds.
Pros
- Most assault rifles usually have a magazine capacity of around 30 rounds so you will not have to reload as often.
- It is likely to be equipped with a sight so you can accurately hit targets from a further range.
Cons
- The fully automatic function could be accidently switched on in a panic and a large quantity of your ammo stocks could be wasted on ineffective body shots.
- Professional knowledge is required to strip down and clean assault rifles or it will jam.
- The sound of your shots being fired will attract potentially thousands of zombies within earshot.
Availability
Pre zombie apocalypse the assault rifle will be almost impossible to find, but post Zday it can be found in the many overrun police and military positions.

7/10 The option to go fully automatic has the potential to waste your precious ammo and the risk of attracting more zombies could leave you trapped but otherwise it is a good weapon and if you see one take it.
